WPA Cracker: la potenza di 400 CPU per crakkare password WPA e WPA2 in 20 minuti

WPA Cracker è un nuovo e sfacciato servizio online, che mette a disposizione degli utenti un potenziale da super computer per eseguire calcoli che con un normale PC con processore di media potenza richiederebbero giorni.

Non è il primo del genere, ma l’utilizzo di WPA Cracker, come si intuisce dal nome, è prettamente dedicato alla forzatura delle password WPA e WPA 2 PSK, protocolli che in genere vengono utilizzati per codificare le trasmissioni wi-fi.

Un attacco di forza bruta, cioè un attacco che prova tutte le parole di un dizionario fino a trovare quella usata per la password, impiegherebbe giorni per essere portato a termine con un normale processore. WPA Cracker, invece, permette di vagliare un dizionario composto da 140 milioni di parole in appena 20 minuti, e questo grazie all’ausilio di 400 CPU che lavorano assieme.

Il servizio è a pagamento, e i prezzi dipendono dall’uso delle CPU. Usare tutto il potenziale di WPA Cracker per 20 minuti, costa 34 dollari, mentre allungare i tempi a 40 minuti, costa esattamente la metà.

Il tempo necessario per trovare la password potrebbe essere anche inferiore, ma il prezzo resterà comunque lo stesso, e questo anche se la password non venisse trovata.

Nelle FAQ del servizio non si fa riferimento alla lingua delle parole, e si sa solo che viene utilizzato il dizionario di OpenWall, che include parole, frasi, numeri e simboli, ma non so se anche in italiano.

Saurik aggiorna l’hack per il downgrade del firmware di iPhone 3GS

Saurik ha da poco pubblicato un aggiornamento su Cydia dell’ hack, di cui vi avevamo già parlato in questo articolo, che consente di effettuare il downgrade del firmware degli iPhone 3GS.

Come molti possessori di iPhone 3GS sapranno, l’iPhone comunica con i server Apple prima di ogni aggiornamento o ripristino, in modo da non permettere l’utilizzo di firmware meno recenti o modificati.

Attraverso questo hack di Saurik, ora, è possibile ripristinare qualsiasi versione del firmware 3, a patto che che sia stata precedentemente installata sul dispostivo.

Tutto quello che bisogna fare è aprire Cydia ed autorizzare i server di Saurik a conservare i vostri file SHSH e consentire ad iTunes di puntare verso i server di autenticazione di Saurik, anziché quelli Apple, durante un ripristino.

In precedenza Cydia mostrava soltanto i file SHSH salvati per la versione del firmware che si stava utilizzando.

Ovviamente l’hack è esclusivamente per iPhone 3GS, dato che iPhone 3G/2G non hanno alcun tipo di dispositivo di cifratura hardware.

Nuovo video per Sn0wBreeze…ci siamo quasi!

iH8sn0w ha pubblicato un nuovo video cteaser per il software  Windows “Sn0wBreeze”, che consentirà di creare un custom firmware 3.1.2 per iPhone proprio come attualmente fa PwnageTool per Mac.

Il funzionamento sembra davvero semplice e non ci resta che aspettare ancora un po’ per poterlo finalmente testare…

Ecco a voi un comodissimo elenco con quasi tutte le scorciatoiei per le piattaforme Windows esistenti dalla 95 in su (alcune necessitanto di Internet Explorer 4 o superiore). Cosi facendo migliorete nettamente l’utilizzo del vs PC ed userete più spesso la mano sinistra o viceversa .


Ctrl + X = Taglia sia file che parole
Ctrl + C = Copia sia file che parole

Inoltre ci sono delle nuove scorciatoie presenti nel nuovo sistema Windows 7.

La maggior parte delle nuove scorciatoie riguarda la gestione delle finestre, molto utili soprattutto per chi ha decine di applicazioni e finestre aperte in giro per il monitor.

* Win + Home: riduce a icona tutte le finestre eccetto quella attiva, premuto di nuovo le ripristina tutte.
* Win + Spazio: rende trasparenti tutte le finestre e permette di visualizzare il desktop
* Win + Freccia su: ingrandisce la finestra a tutto schermo
* Win + Freccia sinistra/Freccia destra: sposta e ingrandisce la finestra nella metà sinistra o destra dello schermo (l’equivalente del trascinamento sui bordi dello schermo)


Altre 2 scorciatoie aggiunte in questa versione di Windows sono relative alla gestione dello schermo:

* Win + +/-: apre il Magnifier ed aumenta o riduce lo zoom dello schermo
* Win + P: apre la gestione del collegamento ad un proiettore o un secondo monitor

Prima di riprendere le vecchie scorciatoie segnalo un’ultima scorciatoia che non viene attivata con il tasto Win, ma è sempre utile tenere a mente:
Ctrl + Maiuscolo + N: crea una nuova cartella sul desktop o all’interno di una cartella aperta.

Rivediamo ora le scorciatoie che Microsoft ha aggiunto nelle precedenti versioni di Windows e che saranno, ovviamente, portate sul nuovo Windows:

* Win + Tab = Scorre i programmi aperti nella barra delle applicazioni
* Win + L: Blocca il computer e visualizza la schermata di login
